Carla Gugino to make a Righteous Kill

Robert De Niro/Al Pacino team-up cop movie Righteous Kill according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sin City babe Carla Gugino joins the supporting cast that includes Donnie Wahlberg,50 Cent, Frank John Hughes, Mark Famiglietti and according to IMDB, Martin Scorsese as Lt. Winnifield! Guigno will be playing a crime scene investigator who has her own dark problems which is the catalyst of her looking to De Niro for comfort, and starting a relationship with him. This $60 million movie will team will follow De Niro and Pacino as two cops chasing down a serial killer in New York, the first time the pair have been together on screen for the whole duration of a movie. Can't wait for this flick and it's no doubt the most exciting project either man has done in years. It sounds like they aren't just pulling for a nostalgia trip and with Millenium Films and Emeett/Furla films financing as much they are into the project, and with a script from Inside Man scribe Russell Gewirtz... I think they might hit this one out of the ball park. 88 Minutes and Fried Green Tomatoes director Jon Avnet is the man behind the camera with shooting to begin before the end of this month.
