Carnahan in talks for Bunny Lake is Missing

216293.jpgNarc director Joe Carnahan is in final talks to direct the thriller Bunny Lake is Missing, a remake of a 1965 British movie starring Lawrence Olivier and Carol Lynley. This year's Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon has long been attached to the flick as a possible starring vehicle. The film follows the story of a mother who reports that her daughter Bunny Lake has gone missing but when the police find no evidence she ever existed, they begin to suspect the women has gone mad. Basically it's the premise of Flightplan, just not on an aeroplane. Nothing we haven't seen before in countless other movies then but hey, I'm liking this guy's work so far. His movies never look boring. Caranhan's next flick is the ultra stylish looking Smokin' Aces which comes out next month (click here to see trailer) and it's been reported that the director wants to shoot Bunny Lake before work on the Ellroy novel White Jazz starts. source - variety, coming soon
