Casting Ava DuVernay's New Gods

Unlike his Marvel counterpart (Odin), Highfather is usually presented as being a tad more involved in the conflicts his dominion partakes in, making someone of more an action heavy background, like Bridges, quite the choice to play the character.

Along with how the actor suits the character from a performance standpoint, visually, it wouldn't take too much work to transform Bridges into Highfather - his physicality basically already being there and the facial hair only requiring some slight adjustment to turn him into the New God.

On top of how much the actor would fit the role is the simple novelty of seeing someone other than a British actor being cast in an archetype such as this, even as besides the point that may be.
