CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR full length trailer
Full length trailer now on the web for Hanks/Roberts/Hoffman's Charlie Wilson's War, just a shame about the EW voice over..
Because I'm so lazy and I hate repeating myself, I've just re-uploaded this post from Monday and added a couple of new thoughts in bold before the trailer link... Surprisingly although both actors spent many years doing the romantic comedy gig, Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts first screen outing together comes later this year with Charlie Wilson's War, a drama focusing on a U.S. congressman who joins forces with a rogue C.I.A. agent to arm rebels in Afghanistan in their fight against the soviet union in the 1980s. The result of this was of course that the rebels we armed and trained, went on to become the taliban. Co-starring with the pair are Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Emily Blunt and Amy Adams for director Mike Nichols (The Graduate, Closer) the veteran helmer who graces his presence with a movie every couple of years. If you can zone out from the Entertainment Weekly voice-over, then there's lots to like about this trailer. I love when you have actors with real presence and Hoffman/Hanks and Roberts certainly have that. There's something very classy about this movie, but with a post-modern off-beat tone at the same time. I know they pay Hanks a ridiculous amount of money per-performance, but when he's as good as he looks here... he's surely worth every penny.CLICK HERE TO SEE THE TRAILER source - worst previews
