Chris Nolan & David Fincher Wax Lycrical About Terrence Malick & THE TREE OF LIFE

I'd be lying if I said that I enjoyed Tree of Life (my review HERE) but I understand the movie has moved a lot of people and there's a very vocal appreciation for Terrence Malick's years in the making epic. Hell, it did just win the Palme d'Or after all and in it's own way has become one of the most talked about movies of the year that's not a blockbuster/comic book film. Tree of Life is currently on limited release in the U.S. and is about to go wider this weekend and to support this, Fox Searchlight managed to get a hold of two notable Malick fans, directors Christopher Nolan and David Fincher to talk about their appreciation for Malick and love of his work. It's a great but all too short listen and it kind of just makes us wish these guys would have their own Friday night show talking about every new release in town. Forget Ebert & Siskel - what about Nolan & Fincher? Now that would be fun; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVUXDn6hCY4 In the U.K. - Tree of Life opens July 8th. Expect the longer version of this featurette, hopefully with a few more notable talking heads, to be placed on the eventual Blu-ray & DVD release.
