Christmas certainly hasn't been cancelled at Universal Orlando Resort's Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle show will once again be twinkling in Hogsmeade. The beautiful display lights up the wizarding school at the Islands of Adventure theme park, with a wonderful projection show. You can enjoy projections inspired by the Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes, the Yule Ball and all the magic of Christmas at Hogwarts.
The return of the winter season at Universal Orlando Resort also brings back their famous Hot Butterbeer, which can only be described as a little piece of warming heaven. It may still be pretty warm in Florida, but a Hot Butterbeer in Diagon Alley can almost transport you to the cold winters of London.
It wouldn't be Christmas without carols, so it's great to see the return of Celestine Warbeck and the Banshees. I'm pretty sure I'm still singing Accio Christmas from the last year! You can also catch some more traditional carols performed by the Frog Choir outside Hogwarts.
Of course if this festive season you need to pick up gifts for the Harry Potter fan in your life, then a trip to Universal's first ever Christmas Tribute store is a must. The new store at Universal Studios Florida has an entire room dedicated to all things Harry Potter.
If you’re more of a Grinch this Holiday season then Universal have that covered too. The original Mean One is back at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous in Seuss Landing where you can meet him (socially distanced of course). The Grinch too has his own dedicated room at the Tribute store this year.
Universal Orlando Resort's Holiday celebrations once again include the huge Macy's Parade balloons, featuring some of animated favourites from Shrek, The Minions and Madagascar. Unfortunately, this year they won't be part of a parade, instead you can get up close to these wonderful balloons at the Universal’s Holiday Experience at Universal Studios.
If you don't want to miss a thing when it comes to the Holiday's Celebrations at Universal Orlando Resort then the new Universal's Holiday Tour will probably be something you will want to join.
The tour costs $59.99 (plus tax) and gives you priority access to Universal’s Holiday Experience Featuring Macy’s Balloons with a special appearance from Santa. You'll also get a tour of the Holiday Tribute Store with it's four rooms of goodies, meet and greet with the Grinch including Hot Cocoa Bar and an exclusive showing of “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle”. You'll also receive a special gift, after all what's the Holiday season without gifts?
It's nice to have a little bit Harry Potter Christmas magic to say farewell to 2020.
