D: (The) Dark Knight Trilogy
This trilogy has led to Nolan receiving lots of critical acclaim. Fans also loved this and the trilogy and overall it is cited when people argue in favour of re-boots. Batman had been left in an embarrassing state and it took a while before anyone was brave enough to even touch the franchise because of this. Nolan decided to avoid the comical, light-hearted route and instead went with a realistic, grim perception of Gotham City. He also brought in some real life issues such as poverty to make the film seem even more real. Over the course of the three films we see great action sequences, fantastic performances and excellent scriptwriting.
E: Emma Thomas
The wife of Christopher Nolan and mother of their children... obviously. She has helped produce every one of his films and has just recently helped produce the new Superman film Man of Steel, which is out later on this year and is co-written by Christopher Nolan.
F: Fear
This is a common theme in Nolan's films; there is often a point where someone has to overcome their fears or a character who is hindered by fear throughout the film. The most obvious example of this is Batman Begins where Dr Crane uses a hallucinogenic drug to paralyse the citizens of Gotham with fear. However, fear does pop up now and then in other Nolan films. In the climax of Memento Shelby chooses to forget that he has already caught and killed the murderer who brutally killed his wife, it is his fear of the unknown and fear of a new chapter in his life which causes him to mimic the process again and again.
