Which Other Classic Star Wars Characters Would You Like To See In Episode 7?
Because, really, what's the point of an Episode VII without Admiral Ackbar?
Yesterday something spectacular happened: after a lengthy, near agonising wait to have some proper details about the movie confirmed, Disney finally released the names of the cast members for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, which is set to shoot in just a few weeks' time. Among relatively fresh names such as John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, it was revealed that - as many had speculated - classic Star Wars actors Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher would be returning. Not only that, but Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, and Peter Mayhew, too! Not only are fans going to be reunited with the likes of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Carrie Fisher, then (a surreal thought it ever there was one), but Disney have also done Star Wars fans a huge bonus in bringing back the original actors who played C-3PO, R2-D2 and Chewbacca. Still, although this core six have been confirmed to return, that doesn't account for everyone. There were still lots of other actors present in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi whose return in Episode VII would be appreciated. So we ask: who else do you want to come back? Our pick goes to Billy Dee Williams, of course, who played Han Solo's friend - and sort of rival - Lando Calrissian in both The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and who was alive and well at the end of the latter movie when we last saw him, meaning it would be entirely logical for him to make a return in the new flick. There are other actors and characters who could also find themselves back in the fray, however; after thirty years, is it time for Boba Fett to claw his way out of the sarlacc? Do we want Admiral Ackbar to trap his way into the new trilogy? Who do you want to see added to the new cast list? Let us know in the comments section below.
