Colossus And Blink Join X-Men: Days of Future Past

colossusblink Bryan Singer has announced the latest casting news for his forthcoming movie X-Men: Days of Future Past by tweeting a photo of the current line-up. Among returning actors Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Anna Paquin, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, are Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Booboo Stewart (no relation to Patrick). Cudmore played Colossus, aka Peter Rasputin in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand where he memorably performed the Fastball Special on Wolverine (throwing him into a Sentinel), and looks to reprise his role in Days of Future Past. colossus Joining him in an unnamed role is his Twilight co-star Booboo Stewart, while Chinese movie star Fan Bingbing has been cast as Blink, a mutant with teleporting powers. Bingbing recently starred in Double Exposure and Lost in Thailand with both films proving to be huge box office hits for the actress in her native China. Also pictured in the tweet are Omar Sy and Peter Dinklage, an actor best known for his starring role as Tyrion Lannister in the hit HBO series €œGame of Thrones€. No confirmation yet on their roles in the movie. singertweet Singer, who directed the first two X-Men movies, is returning to the X-Men franchise after a decade away from the characters. His current film Jack the Giant Slayer, features numerous giants which might prove to be useful experience in prepping for Days of Future Past as the book€™s plot includes giant mutant-hunting robots called Sentinels. The classic 1981 Marvel comic book by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, deals with a dystopian future where mutants are imprisoned in internment camps and an adult Kate Pryde time-travels to the past to warn her younger self and the X-Men to prevent that future from happening. X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled for release on 18 July, 2014
