Comic Book Movies: 5 Great Villains And 5 That Were Awful

3. General Zod (Terence Stamp)

Terence Stamp's iconic portrayal of the megalomaniac Kryptonian criminal General Zod in Superman I and Superman II will forever live in the memories of superhero movie fans everywhere. Stamp plays an imposing and authoritative figure who arrives on Earth (or 'Planet Houston' for those who remember that part) with his minions Ursa and Non and quickly seeks to rule it, even making the President of the United States of America kneel before him. Easily trampling on anyone who dares stand in his way, including the force of the military and their arsenal of weapons, it comes down to Christopher Reeve's Superman to tackle this trio of Kryptonian counterparts and save the world - which he obviously does, but not before a difficult fight against the only individuals who are capable of standing up to him. Quote: "I win. I always win. Is there no one on this planet to even challenge me?"
