Comic Con 2016: 8 Awesome Moments We Need To See

6. Planet Hulk-ish

Cameras have just started shooting on Thor Ragnarok and with no Avengers films to promote, the limelight will surely fall on the golden haired Avenger and his sickly looking, but rather angry pal.

2017's Thor Ragnarok sees Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk team up, buddy cop style, to take down the mischievous Hela - the Asgardian goddess of death played by Cate Blanchett. Director Taika Waititi is known for his comedic chops but with a title like Ragnarok (the Norse end of times) there can be no doubt that the stakes will be higher than any previous outing to Asgard, with the two fan favourite Avengers tearing up the cosmos.

The Hulk is without a doubt one of the major draws of the film, unable to star in his own franchise due to an ongoing rights issue with Universal. The Emerald Giant fighting his way through the galaxy has been done before in the excellent Planet Hulk storyline - featuring Bruce Banner stranded on a war-torn planet, forced to fight to the death in a gladiatorial arena. Ragnarok seems to be a way of Marvel Studios having their cake and eating it, getting around the rights issue whilst adapting this storyline via one of Thor's most famed outings.

It may be too early to show finished footage but fans would be left salivating if they got a glimpse of The Incredible Hulk in his famous gladiatorial armour - be it via concept art or a CG render. I'd bet on Marvel to deliver - the franchise certainly needs a shot in the arm
