2. New Justice League Trailer Teases Green Lantern

Warner Bros. released a new, four-minute trailer for Justice League which revealed the first proper look at the villainous Steppenwolf, as voiced by the brilliant Ciaran Hinds.

Curiously, his narration spoke of Earth having, "No protectors here...No lanterns...", an obvious reference to Green Lantern, who has of course been absent from the DCEU so far.

With Warner Bros. planning to release a Green Lantern Corps movie in 2020, though, it's not unreasonable that they're starting to make references to the character, and some fans have even speculated that Alfred might have been talking to a Lantern, rather than Superman, at the end of the trailer.

There is an ever-so-slight, green-looking glint in the reflection of Alfred's glasses, but honestly, that could be anything. Still, it's intriguing and unexpected to even hear the character mentioned in a movie at this point, so the DCEU is clearly starting to get its ducks in a row, which is encouraging.
