Legion and Fargo's Noah Hawley confirmed at Comic-Con that he is developing a Marvel movie for Fox, and while he wouldn't go into specific details, he said simply this: "Because I’m at Comic-Con, I wanted to let you know about a movie I’m developing for Fox. The first word is ‘Doctor.’ And the second is ‘Doom'".

This naturally whipped fans into a frenzy, as they began speculating whether Hawley was working on a Doctor Doom spin-off movie or a new Fantastic Four film.

Hawley's aptitude at working with large ensemble casts and his success on Legion would make him a fine fit for another attempt at Fantastic Four, though as Fox still has quite a few years to get another F4 movie made before the rights lapse, they may want to let the 2015 disaster decay in people's minds a little longer.

Then again, it's hard to imagine a Doctor Doom spin-off being much of a financial prospect either...
