The saga that has befell Warner Bros.' touted Batman reboot is threatening to become a bigger spectacle than the film itself, with Ben Affleck's commitment to the project still seemingly in doubt. Rumours do, however, point towards the actor finally making a decision on his involvement during Warner Bros.' DCEU panel this weekend.

Depending on your feelings regarding Bat-fleck, news that the actor is set to renew his interest in the cape and cowl of the World's Greatest Detective is likely to cause contention. Reeves' entrance to the project saw the script penned by Affleck and frequent collaborator Chris Terrio ditched for something else entirely, but while that may be the case, rumours state that there's no bad blood between the actor and the Planet of the Apes director, with the pair even set to hug things out on stage later this week.

The rumour, which comes by way of DanielRPK (and relayed by ScreenGeek), states that Affleck is still very much interested in the part, and that he'll link up with Reeves on stage during the convention.

No matter which way WB proceed, the next move is going to be divisive. Here's hoping that they can convince fans to get excited about Batman again.
