Considine won't be Jigsaw in The Punisher 2
Is he bitter or relieved that he wasn't chosen for the villain role?
Paddy Considine won't be Jigsaw in the Punisher 2 according to the man himself who leaked the news on his blog/forum. Ya know, if it was any other movie, I would think that the following comments were probably just him sounding bitter over the whole thing but then you remember it is The Punisher 2, and he's probably being sincere after all...
It all means jack anyway. The original choice for Jigsaw dropped out, then they offerered it to me. I'm very dubious because the other films looked shite. Then whoever is responsible said that their original choice has decided to do it, therefore pulling my offer. The only blessing was that I didn't waste an hour of my life reading the script. That be the way of the film world. And for the record, I thought GREEN STREET was a gigantic mess. Lucky escape.Well whoever they have gone for, let's hope it's more inspired than the casting of Ray Stevenson as Frank Castle. Ok, this big muscle man might do a job but does he have the intensity of Thomas Jane? The Punisher: War Zone has trouble written all over it. I'm begging to see who there was first choice is on this one because they have just lost out on a great actor here. source - aicn
