From the claret-cloured studio titles to the thunderously powerful score, Crimson Peak's debut trailer was a textbook example of how a major picture should be promoted. Offer the spectators just enough to become emotionally invested, but ensure they are actually seeing far less than believed. Fellow studio films should follow the methods employed here to sell their products. Preceding trailers, TV spots and poster unveils (including some plush Mondo offerings) have remained of the same ilk; perfectly enticing the audience without completely spoiling the surprises. Del Toro is a audio-visual poet who relishes in the purest forms of storytelling. If his audience isn't thrilled, chilled or shocked, they aren't truly engaged. If you are yet to see the brilliant trailer below, give it a watch to really rack up that excitement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLWsNDZqXpo
