20 Movies Critics HATE But Audiences LOVE

The late, great Tony Scott's filmography is a critical coin flop - some of his movies are loved by critics, but just as many have received mediocre or even downright poor notices, including his 2004 Denzel Washington-starring action thriller Man on Fire.

Though critics had scattered praise for Scott's adrenalised action sequences and Washington and Dakota Fanning's performances, they ultimately felt that these positives were drowned out in a sea of overdone style and a lengthy 146-minute runtime.

But audiences? Audiences had an absolute blast with Man on Fire, handing it a rating of 89% - more than double its poor 39% critical score - and seemingly finding little issue with how incredibly extra the film is in every fiber of its being.

Honestly, we're with audiences here - if you can't vibe with a movie where Denzel puts C4 up a guy's ass and detonates him from the inside out, do you even like movies?
