5. Sophie Turner's Dubious Acting Skills

One of the biggest hurdles Dark Phoenix faces is the questionable talent of the actress playing Jean Grey, Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner. Her distractingly dodgy attempt at an American accent in Apocalypse was laughable and emphasised the feeling she was basically a kid playing superhero dress-up.

Though there was mild hope that Turner had gotten down in the trenches with an acting coach between movies, the trailer makes little indication of that, again suggesting a boring rendition of the superhero destined to pale forever compared to Famke Janssen's more spirited prior iteration.

Plus, the fact we barely hear Jean say anything at all throughout the trailer is incredibly suspicious.
