DCEU: 10 Characters Who Desperately Deserve A Movie Appearance
Anyone else missing the Lantern Corps?
The DCEU just loves to polarize, doesn't it?
Fans from all around the world have differing opinions on the cinematic universe of DC Comics. Everything, from overall story-arcs to costume design. There seems to be no end to the debate. There is one thing these fans can agree on, however, and that is their love and passion for the heroes and villains of DC.
The very existence of these characters will always hold a place in the heart of these fans. But when you factor in the idea that a character that you grew up only reading about could come to life in a movie, things start to get really exciting.
Warner Bros and the DCEU are in an interesting position in that they have access to all DC characters. All bets are off in this situation. Any character can show up in any movie, at any time. You can go from Wonder Woman coming in to help her two future Justice League cohorts fight off Doomsday in Batman v Superman, to Joker and Harley Quinn in a car chase being pursued by the Dark Knight in Suicide Squad.
The potential that the DCEU has is almost immeasurable, and that's not going to change until that potential has been reached or exceeded. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen. What we do know for sure however is that these fans will not rest until their favourite characters hit the big screen.
10. Brainiac
Fans have been clamouring for Henry Cavill's Superman to face off against The Collector of Worlds for some time now.
Ever since Zack Snyder kicked off the DCEU with Man of Steel, rumours have run rampant of Brainiac's role as the villain in the announced sequel. The look of his character alone warrants an on-screen adaption. His alien green skin littered with neon pink lights all over his head and body, along with those unmistakable silver cybernetic tentacles, would easily make for one of the most intimidating figures in the DCEU.
Brainiac's appearance combined with his seemingly infinite level of intellect not only make him a treat to read in the comics, but would also make him a treat to watch in a movie. Even a verbal exchange between the The Terror of Kandor & The Last Son of Krypton in a DCEU film would be a sight to see. A physical battle between the two amongst the stars would be a visual spectacle.
