DCEU: 10 Characters Who Desperately Deserve A Movie Appearance
8. Scarecrow
We may have seen a realistic portrayal of a Scarecrow that exists closer to our world with the Dark Knight Trilogy, but we haven't even begun to scratch the surface of the kind of terror that Dr. Jonathan Crane could unleash in the fantastical, comic accurate world of the DCEU.
Scarecrow is one of the most frightening villains in the DC universe. Not because of his fighting skills or power level, but due to his ability to not only turn your greatest fears against you, but to create a nightmare-fuelled world of his own making. The Nightmare challenges of the Arkham games alone show how much potential Scarecrow could truly have on the big screen.
The Master of Fear has inspired many fans to speculate as to which actor could scare the daylights out of them as Scarecrow. A single moment between Ben Affleck's Caped Crusader against a fully fleshed out Scarebeast could turn even the staunchest of superhero films into a horror flick in a second. With director Matt Reeves' dark and brooding directing style, there's no doubt that he could nail that sort of atmosphere.
Take some visual cues from the Arkham series, and this next Batman film could really be something unique indeed.
