Deadpool 2: 10 Best Moments

4. The Juggernaut

The Juggernaut
Marvel Comics

As pre-release rumours suggested, Juggernaut does indeed appear in the movie, and finally gives fans a terrific interpretation of the character that'll allow them to forgot about X-Men: The Last Stand's goofy Vinnie Jones version.

The character's presence is first hinted at in the Icebox, with Deadpool even flat-out referring to the unseen giant prisoner as "a steaming bowl of foreshadowing." During the convoy sequence, he causes the prisoner transport crash, allowing him and Russell to escape, but not before he rips Deadpool clean in two. Hilariously, Deadpool being a fanboy of Juggernaut and all, seems oddly delighted by it.

Russell and Juggy then head to the orphanage to murder the abusive headmaster (Eddie Marsan), but 'Pool, Cable and Domino manage to catch up to them. Cue Juggernaut battling the trio - set to an operatic profanity-fest entitled "Holy S*** Balls" - with Deadpool trying to chill him out with the MCU's "the sun's getting real low" routine (and failing).

Eventually, Colossus arrives on the scene, leading to a "big CGI fight" (as Deadpool informs us). The two get their big, dumb licks in on each other, with Juggernaut even calling Colossus a "Commie motherf***er" and promising, "I'm gonna melt you down and make a c*** ring."

Colossus eventually manages to rip Juggernaut's prison jumpsuit, exposing his bare a**, while Yukio (Shioli Kutsuna) uses chains to hold him in place, Colossus shoves an electric cable up his exposed orifice, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) blasts him into a nearby swimming pool.

It doesn't appear that Juggernaut died from the attack, so fans can rest easy that he might be back in the future. Either way, this was a fantastic redemption for a character who's been long overdue his fair shake on-screen. Even with him riskily being a 100% CGI creation, he looked pretty damn terrific.
