Deadpool 2: 10 Things That Make No Sense
8. The Juggernaut Being Professor X's Brother
One of the best things about Days of Future Past rejigging the X-Men timeline is that Vinny Jones's reviled version of the Juggernaut no longer exists. Thanks to Deadpool 2, we now have a new take on the character that's more faithful to the comics.
Not everything about the CGI-heavy Cain Marko works, though, especially in the context of the other films in the series. The biggest problem is that he confirms he's Professor X's brother. Not step-brother like in the comics. His blood relative.
This just doesn't mesh because Charles Xavier's backstory has been thoroughly well explored in three X-Men prequel movies. First Class even goes back to the telepath's childhood with flashbacks. You'd think if he had a mutant brother who's the size of a house, it would have at least been given a passing mention before now.
Even if the Juggernaut was referring to a step-sibling when he explained to Russell that he wears a helmet so "his brother" can't read his mind, the point still stands.
