3. It Confirms Deadpool Is Joining the MCU

The Rumour: With Disney currently planning to purchase 21st Century Fox, there was plenty of pre-release hubbub that this could result in Deadpool 2 featuring a sneaky, last-minute allusion to the character's place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A cameo from an Avenger, perhaps?

The Truth: This always wishful thinking, really, considering that the deal won't be fully hammered out for a little while longer, and any overt nod to the MCU before everything was finalised would be risky from a legal perspective.

Though there are some fantastic jokes about the MCU throughout the film, there's not even the slightest hint of this continuity being rolled into the MCU as of yet. The situation could and should be totally different by the time the third movie comes out, though - fingers crossed - so wait and see.
