Deadpool 2: 12 Rumours That Were Utter Bull

1. The Movie Is A Divisive Mess

The Rumour: Perhaps the most pervasive and disconcerting rumour ahead of the movie's release is that it had a "disastrous" test screening prior to the March reshoots, and Fox was apparently scrambling to fix it in time for release.

The Truth: This, mercifully, was indeed utter bulls***, and though not everything in the movie works perfectly, it certainly doesn't feel like a film that was frantically cobbled together in post-production.

Considering that Deadpool 2 has reviewed marginally higher than the original, it's clear that the other major test screening report, that the movie actually ended up testing better than the first film, was the one worth paying attention to.

Of course, early screening reports are so frequently out-of-step with the ultimate critical and fan response - remember the standing ovations for Suicide Squad pre-release? - so they're typically worth taking with a grain of salt either way.
