Okay, he wouldn't actually kill the Marvel Universe (it's legal-rights spaghetti), but he would continue to make the same kind of jabs at the MCU that populate the first film. Setting your film's climax on a wrecked helicarrier, anyone? Marvel have to be smarting at that. I'm not even sure it's entirely legal. It's not strictly the Marvel Cinematic Universe that's in Deadpool's sights when he meta-tastically makes fun of other superhero staples; on the contrary. Nobody is spared, not DC, not Spider-Man, not even Wolverine, whose rights are owned by the same studio as Deadpool. Marvel evidently got the worst of it this time around, and who knows where the finale of Deadpool 2 will take place? A replica of Tony Stark's L.A. home? The skeletal remains of Avengers Tower?
