Here's a new trick for the Marvel Cinematic Universe - firing some straight shots at the now-defunct DC Extended Universe.

Hilariously after Deadpool meets TVA honcho Mr. Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen), he mentions that the power dynamic in the MCU is about to change.

This was very clearly a nod to Dwayne Johnson's infamous, widely memed claim of his DCEU flop Black Adam - that "the hierarchy of power in the DC universe is about to change."

And that's not the only cinematic mud-slinging on offer - when Henry Cavill makes a shock cameo later as a Deadpool variant, Deadpool even directly addresses Cavill's abrupt dismissal from the Superman role following Black Adam's release, promising Cavill that he'd be treated better over at Marvel.
