Did Civil War Cleverly Foreshadow Avengers: Infinity War's Ending?
Smart hinting or a happy accident?
It's almost a cliche these days to say that everything that Marvel Studios put in their movies matters. Even if it takes years to pay off, if something is seeded, it'll come to fruition later down the line. It's sort of their thing.
In that vein, it looks like a fan might hav picked up on some smart Infinity War foreshadowing that the Russos may have dropped into Captain America: Civil War.
According to Tumblr user Raider 5, for the scene in which the heroes discuss signing the Sokovia Accords, the positions that they take around the table are pretty revealing. Captain America, Black Widow, and War Machine all sit on the left, while Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Falcon are on the right. The former group survive, while the second are all killed by Thanos when he snaps. Meanwhile, Tony Stark is set apart in the far corner (though on the side of the survivors).
It's a simple theory, but it definitely works and you really shouldn't put it past thee Russos to have done it. And it's not like it would be the first time this sort of deeply embedded foreshadowing had been used in the MCU.
