Terry Gilliam may have spent decades making The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, but it looks like Disney are going to put together their own adaptation of Miguel de Cervantes iconic novel in just a couple of years.

Billy Ray (The Hunger Games, Captain Phillips) is set to produce and write the script, putting his own spin on the story of a lower-class aristocrat who decides to make himself into a knight and sets off in search of adventure. The Disney film will reportedly look for a tone similar to Pirates of the Caribbean, and hopefully skew closer to Curse of the Black Pearl than the sequels.
