Disney rip-off the plot from Groundhog Day

4189.jpgDisney have picked up the spec script of Monday, Monday from producers Andy Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot. The movie sure does sound a hell of a lot like the classic Bill Murray comedy from 1993...
"Groundhog Day"-like script by first-time feature writer Flint Wainess will follow a neurotic teen who has to relive his disastrous first day at a new high school until he gets it right.
Now I know original and Disney never usually belong in the same sentence but this is as blatant a rip-off as I've seen the Mouse go to. Let's not let them get away with this rip-off lightly. Let's promote the trailer of Groundhog Day, so the whole world can witness their limited originality behind the desks of their enclosed offices...
