Doctor Strange: 10 Reasons It's Awesome

And finally, the climax to this movie is nothing short of insane. While it doesn't quite nail the gleeful fanboy wish fulfillment of Civil War's airport fight, it takes the MCU to a literally whole other plain from a stylistic perspective.

Derrickson gets to have his cake and eat it too here, serving up a combat-heavy showdown featuring most of the principals, juxtaposed with a more subversive confrontation that plays with the more fantastical elements of this world.

It all adds up to make the movie's finale like nothing else in the franchise, and hopefully Marvel Studios will continue to lean into that outlandishness when Strange inevitably heads off to join The Avengers.
