10. Who Was The Patient Strange Rejected?
The Question: Just before the car crash that changes his life, Strange is offered a surgery for a 35-year-old air-force colonel who sustained spinal injuries while wearing experimental armour. Director Scott Derrickson has already confirmed that this isn't a reference to Rhodey's near-fatal accident from Civil War, nor is it one of Justin Hammer's test pilots from Iron Man 2, so who is it?
The Likely Answer: There's not really any in-universe character who fits the bill above the two aforementioned possibilities, so this will unfortunately probably linger as one of those frustrating loose threads forever more.
Why did Derrickson have to ruin our fun and shoot down (no pun intended) what seemed like a perfectly tidy nod to Civil War?
