Doctor Strange: 11 Giant Questions It Leaves Unanswered

The Question: The mid-credits scene shows Baron Mordo effectively becoming a villain by tracking down Jonathan Pangborn, a paraplegic who used magic to walk again, and stealing his magic away, causing him to once again become paraplegic. The scene cuts off before Mordo leaves, so did he actually kill Pangborn to keep his mouth shut, or did he merely remove his powers?

The Likely Answer: Though leaving Pangborn alive creates a giant loose end for Mordo, killing him would also seem somewhat out of step with his morality demonstrated throughout the film. He likely doesn't care that Strange and others will learn of his crusade to reduce the number of Sorcerers in the universe, and stripping Pangborn's powers away was enough to do the job.
