Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: 10 Major New Details You Need To Know
8. Brother Voodoo Is Set To Finally Make His Big Screen Debut
While it probably passed you by, the first Doctor Strange movie included Daniel Drumm. The original protector of the Sanctum Santorum in New York, he was killed by Kaecilius, and that looks set to be a moment which could have major ramifications for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Marvel Studios is looking for a supporting male lead between the ages of 27 and 42 to play a character of Caribbean/Haitian descent, and it's since been confirmed that's Jericho Drumm, a.k.a. Brother Voodoo. He sets out to avenge what happened to Daniel and is actually haunted by his spirit's brother (who serves as a guide, but also once attempted to manipulate him for his own nefarious means).
This character's arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is definitely a big deal, and it gives Strange a new ally, albeit one who is unlikely to be overly happy about working with one of the Sorcerers he no doubt feels failed his brother.
Brother Voodoo eventually becomes Sorcerer Supreme, so he could be a major player in the MCU.
