Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: 24 WTF Moments

Following a prolonged confrontation, and realising that "her" sons on Earth-838 view her as a terrifying monster, Wanda finally, finally accepts that all this death and carnage wasn't worth it for her to get a happy ending.

And so, she agrees to lay down her life in order to bring the chaos to a close, collapsing the fortress on top of herself, seemingly dying while destroying all copies of the Darkhold that exist everywhere, according to Strange.

While it'd certainly be a fitting death for Wanda given the slim chance of her being redeemed after all this, considering we didn't see her die on-screen it also seems unlikely this is really the last we'll ever see of her.

Don't be surprised if Wanda returns as a variant at some point, which now seems to be the MCU's get-out clause for character deaths.
