Doctor Strange Movie: 10 Things You Need To Know

10. He's A Real Doctor

That's not just a fancy title, like Dr Pepper, Dr Dre, or Dr Gillian McKeith - Stephen Strange is an actual, licensed medical doctor. Before he swapped his scalpels for a spellbook he was not only a neurosurgeon but, as everybody keeps saying aloud (so that you'll get the idea through your thick skulls), the greatest neurosurgeon alive! To the point that his hands are considered one of the most precious commodities in the medical profession, albeit not enough to ensure them - like they did with J Lo's bum back in the day. Which was a staggering lack of foresight, since then he was in a car crash which ruined those hallowed palms and put him out of a job. Too proud to take on a teaching job yet unable to really do much with his constantly trembling hands, Strange travels the world and exhausts all of his riches in attempt to restore his previous skills. Obviously then he gets some amazing superpowers to make up for it but he retained his medical prowess in the years since - you don't tend to forget all those years of school in a hurry - and they've come in useful a handful of times during his consequent career.
