Even without pulling apart the individual elements, the over-riding collective opinion of Doctor Strange is that it is great. Time and time again reviewers reactions start or end with a general summary that it's a very good film.
So, where does it sit alongside the other Marvel films though?
Second to Captain America since that film was released? I'll take that. But don't say it's the best one yet, because most of the reviewers are clear on that being too much too.
Some aren't entirely so taken, even while expressing positives.
So it's not in the top five, but given what has been released under the MCU banner, sixth place is nothing to be sad about.
