Though we still don't have a firm answer to who Mikkelsen is actually playing in the movie, we now at least have some indication of what he can do: turning churches into mind-boggling kaleidoscopes.

Clearly, his primary power is being able to literally change reality and traverse through the multi-verse. We'll have to wait and see to discover what his objective is.

The effects work on this sequence is just stunning, but I'm a little concerned that seeing them in 3D is going to make vast swathes of the audience barf their popcorn up.
