Does This Ant-Man Easter Egg Explain How Marvel Will Introduce The Fantastic Four?

3. Marvel Don't Want Fantastic Four - They Want Their Villains

Of course, the biggest problem with this theory is that Marvel would be taking a major hit, putting a key property in the background. Or would they?

It's become increasingly apparent that the studio isn't that fussed about Reed Richards and co. - they pulled their comic last year (partially due to them not having the movie rights, but the continuation of the X-Men and Fantastic Four's low sales show there's more to it than that) after all. This was crystallised when Fox's Daredevil's rights were running out and Marvel offered to let them keep the Man With No Fear in exchange for Galactus and Silver Surfer (who come as part of the original Fantastic Four license).

Fox refused (hence the Daredevil Netflix series), but the whole thing meant Marvel had shown their hand; the Fantastic Four characters Marvel wants are their villains. The heroes aren't really necessary, so can be just put in a nice honorary position as movie stars.
