Does This Ant-Man Easter Egg Explain How Marvel Will Introduce The Fantastic Four?

1. It's A Very Smart Comic In-Joke Too

What I really like about this possibility, and something that nullifies how ridiculous this may seem, is how it would see one of the more bizarre yet endearing elements of the comics make its way to the big screen.

You see, Marvel comics exist within Marvel comics - it's a bizarre meta loop that presented the comics an in-universe documents, which led to panels featuring the likes of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby following heroes around trying to get the latest scoop. It's kitchsy and oh-so-sixties, but when so much of the MCU has been informed by the tone of the source, it'd be rather fitting for it to be referenced on the big screen as well through the narrative layering of the Fantastic Four.

Maybe it is just an easter egg. Maybe CinemaSins have got it all wrong. Or maybe Marvel have just set up a new, exciting way for the Fantastic Four to become part of the MCU fold. Only time (and character rights) will tell.

How do you think Marvel will introduce Fantastic Four to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Share your theories down in the comments.
