This Big Finish audio drama has a premise that sounds ready-made for a Dredd sequel (or possibly some other potentially great action thriller): Dredd is tasked with escorting an expert safecracker from Brit-Cit - that's the future version of England, FYI - to Mega-City One via a supersonic transatlantic train. The only wrinkle in this seemingly foolproof plan? The group of terrorists who hijack the train whilst it's over the ocean, looking for revenge on the very Judge onboard... So again, if the producers are looking to keep costs down with the sequel and stick to a single location, Dreddline might be a good choice. For one thing it's a totally different kind of single location, with different stakes, a different set of supporting characters and villains with a very different, more personal motivation for facing up to Dredd. Just don't make Bax, the aforementioned Brit safecracker, into a Rob Schneider-style comic relief. Please, Grud.
