Dredd: 4 Reasons To Be Excited

3. It Has The Stamp of Approval From John Wagner

According to Judge Dredd creator John Wagner, the problem with the original 1995 movie was that €œ(the filmmakers) told the wrong story€. His feelings about 2012€™s reboot however are worlds apart. In an interview with Hero Complex, Wagner had this to say:
€œThe plot is about Dredd and his world. I like the actors, they€™re well cast and they handled their parts well ... Karl Urban will not remove his helmet and will not kiss his co-star€
So if Mr Wagner can be that chuffed with the way his baby has been adapted by Hollyweird then the legions and legions of fans can rest easy that they too will not be disappointed. The trailer has been met with a mixed reaction but let€™s face it, we€™ve only seen a few minutes - the final product will be very different.
