Edgar Wright: The Definitive Guide To Homages, Influences And References

World's End - Drink

Much like Ed€™s description of what he and Shaun should the day after Liz dumps him and Doctor Hatcher€™s description of the shooting game before it, a monologue of Gary King gives a perfect description about what will happen in the film€™s plot. What€™s so different about this monologue is that it occurs right at the start of the film, rather than hidden somewhere in the middle like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. From meeting Sam, buying drugs from the Reverend Green, losing Oman, going to a disco and ending up at the Smokehouse before the King€™s Head, it€™s all the same, and will play out in similar circumstances over the film.
