Eli Roth's will shoot epic monster movie then THANKSGIVING back-to-back!

Eli Roth has taken a few months out writing recently for a major role in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, but now he's straight back into the writing groove and is "almost done" with his new script, a big budget Transformers meets Cloverfield esque "monster" movie. eli-rothbnew He tells MTV he can't let us in on the working title because he's not 100% sure he owns it just yet, but can talk a little about the "monster" of the movie...
€œI don€™t want to say what yet,€ Roth added. €œOnce it gets set up, I will let everyone know. It is not aliens or robots or a virus - it€™s a little more grounded. But when people hear it they are going to be like €˜That is going to be insane!€™.€
Roth's planning to be a little cheeky (or clever, resourceful) with whatever studio money he manages to save for the project as he claims any left-overs will be used to finally budget his horror movie Thanksgiving, a trailer of which he exclusively shot for Grindhouse.

Roth says...
€œThe plan is this: I want to do a huge budget movie, but tack on three weeks to the end of it and shoot €˜Thanksgiving€™,€ he revealed. €œI want to do an $80 million dollar movie, and then schedule three weeks at the end to quickly shoot a $5 million dollar movie.€
Roth, who remember directed two Hostel movies, claims Thanksgiving will be €œthe sickest, bloodiest, most violent slasher movie,€, and I don't doubt it. The trailer featured a cheerleader inadvertantely fucking a carving knife, Jordan Ladd making out with a severed Roth head and the kind of disturbing Wicker Man esque atmosphere that makes you not wanna visit small towns.
