11. The Cult Of Druig

One of Eternals' low-key best character is Druig, who possesses the ability to mind-control others and through flashbacks is shown wrestling with this ability - namely, his fellow Eternals insisting he not use it against humans.

However, Druig ends up losing his patience in one flashback, taking control of two warring ancient warrior tribes and not only forcing both sides to put down their weapons, but also making them follow him.

In the present-day, we learn that Druig is living with the warriors' descendants in the Amazon jungle.

Given that Druig fully admits to having effectively enslaved the warriors' families for 20 subsequent generations, it's not unfair to say that Druig is basically a cult leader at this point.

When the Eternals show up on his doorstep and the Deviants soon follow, though, Druig is finally convinced to relinquish control and send them on their way.
