Every 2016 Comic Book Movie Character Ranked - From Worst To Best
Harley > Joker.
2016 has been an important year for comic book movies, what with the seeds of the Justice League being decisively sewn, a Deadpool movie making almost $800 million worldwide, The Joker being once again reinvented, and a host of new characters joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
These 25 characters, the most significant from comic book movies this past year, weren't all great, and in fact, a few were downright horrible, though thankfully on the whole beloved heroes and villains were pretty well-represented, setting the table for a slew of tantalising sequels and follow-ups over the next few years.
That success only proves that as some commentators continue to hand-wring about potential "superhero fatigue", the comic book movie is basically more prosperous right now than it's even been, in large part because Hollywood is truly taking the characters as seriously as the fans take them.
Here is every 2016 comic book movie character ranked from worst to best...
25. Enchantress (Suicide Squad)
By a measure the worst comic book character, villain or not, of the year, Enchantress suffers the fatal double whammy of being totally uninteresting and horribly acted.
Enchantress' plan throughout the movie is relatively vague (she wants to resurrect her brother Incubus and then destroy the world because...reasons?) and leads to yet another generic beam-in-the-sky finale that does the titular "heroes" a major disservice.
Then there's Cara Delevingne's Razzie-worthy performance in the role. While she's fine as the pre-transformation Dr. June Moon, once Enchantress takes over, it's all about that hammy, exaggerated British accent (yes, we know she's British in real life) and some unintentionally hilarious hula hoop hip-shaking.
In a word, awful.
