Every 2016 Comic Book Movie Character Ranked - From Worst To Best

It really sucked that Magneto had such a generic subplot to work through in the latest X-Men movie, what with his wife and daughter being murdered and him being seduced to the dark side by Apocalypse.

It's all very familiar fare, and honestly, how many times can Magneto be forgiven for being a total a**hole and then deciding to redeem himself?

Thankfully Michael Fassbender is still excellent in the role and sells the mediocre material with every fiber of his being, but he feels like an oddly ancillary character in the film, and the movie misses a major opportunity to have him bond with his son, Quicksilver.

Considering that Fassbender may not even appear in anymore X-Men movies, saving that emotional beat for the next movie may have ultimately been a huge mistake (not that Apocalypse really had room for anymore drama).
