Every 2016 Comic Book Movie Character Ranked - From Worst To Best

Jennifer Lawrence may be a world-class actress, but it's clear as day that she lost interest in playing the blue-skinned mutant as intended a while ago, given how little she actually appears in true Mystique form throughout the movie.

This is especially problematic considering how eager Fox are to push her character to the forefront due to Lawrence's fame, and so she spends most of the movie in Attractive Blonde Woman form wrestling with a contrived subplot about not wanting to show her true state.

Also, the idea of the 25-year-old Lawrence playing mentor to marginally younger mutants just seems vaguely comical (largely due to the series' own screwed-up approach to aging).

If Lawrence bails from the franchise and the part is recast, there won't be too many upset fans considering the absolutely minimal impact she made as the character.
