Every 2016 Comic Book Movie Character Ranked - From Worst To Best

Easily the most divisive comic book portrayal of the year, some have dismissed Jared Leto's take on The Joker as overly hyperactive, while some accepted it as a welcome gear-shift from Heath Ledger's iconic take, and perhaps most sensibly, others refuse to judge too much from the performance, simply because he's in the film so little.

That's right, even Leto himself was rather bemused at his minimal screen time in Suicide Squad, meaning he barely gets to make an impact at all, and for the first time in the cinematic history of the character, he's basically just "there".

It's not really fair to write Leto's portrayal of the character off yet, but he'll need to come storming out of the gate in The Batman to win fans back.
