Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked Worst To Best
31. Eight Crazy Nights (2002)
It's always felt odd that Sandler never became a more permanent fixture in animated films, given his unique voice work and large personality, but it could have something to do with his first go with the format, Eight Crazy Nights.
Though it's clearly a film close to his heart -- an adventurous festive comedy charting one troublemaker's redemption during Hanukkah -- the film's obscene humour leaves it lacking the necessary air of joy it seems to be aiming for. Instead of feeling like a warm holiday special, it feels uncomfortable and desperate for laughs.
There's some bright spots, including its inclusive holiday theme, fun animation and Sandler's committed voicework (even if he isn't doing anything new character-wise), but Eight Crazy Nights still sinks.
