Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked Worst To Best

36. The Do-Over (2016)

The Waterboy Adam Sandler
Netflix

Back in 2014, Sandler's production company Happy Madison struck a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix to allow the actor to thrive for a new era of audiences, and for the most part they haven't given him his best work.

Case in point: The Do-Over, a recent attempt to lean into his R-rated side (after the absymal That's My Boy), which casts him and David Spade as life-long buddies who fake their deaths and find their assumed identities come with complications.

Sandler's turn as a tough FBI agent fits him like an oversized pair of pants, meaning he never gets comfortable whilst the film re-treads the same tired jokes and cheesy action beats that should have stayed in the 90s -- much like the painfully ineffective David Spade.
